Our Mission
The goal of Sport Center 481 Softball is to teach young people the values of competition: to make a commitment, to work hard, to strive for excellence, to sacrifice to make the team better, and to be the best you can be as a person and as an athlete. We believe our job is to develop the total person, and not just the athlete.
Our players learn about accountability and responsibility. They come to understand that the effort they bring to the field day in and day out is their own personal product, completely within their control, and speaks volumes of their character. Self control, mental toughness, the ability to stay positive, belief and trust in oneself, and the commitment to academic excellence are essential characteristics to be successful on the softball field but more importantly, in the real challenges of life.
Sport Center 481 Softball Late Fall/Early Winter Program Options
When I'd get tired and want to stop, I'd wonder what my next opponent was doing. I'd wonder if he was still working out. I tried to visualize him. When I could see him still working, I'd start pushing myself. When I could see him in the shower, I'd push myself harder.
